Really enjoyable read. I also for the most part abandoned astrology and tarot for a good 15 years and found myself drawn back in. For similar reasons.
I also have always thought of the fourth house being where we draw a sense of security and safety. Very Cancerian issues. And with Saturn sitting on my fourth house in Pisces, it's been a journey. lol. 😂
I have a Substack question for you. Sometimes I see posts that have a nice little icon and subscribe button at the very top, like on this post, but I haven’t figured out how to do it on mine. Would you lend a hand?
Actually Substack did that for me - I opened a post of yours that I read earlier, and it had the subscribe button as well. Was there another icon on mine as well? There wasn't either on mine when i looked, so I wonder if it could be a difference in how it displays our own posts? 🤔
I took a screenshot, but it looks like I can’t share it here in the chat. Instead of having the subscribe button in the middle, which is what I have on mine, yours shows a banner with your publication icon on the left and subscribe on the right. I see it in a subset of posts. Maybe it’s an automatic thing?
Love this Helen, thank you! I’m new to astrology, but I could resonate with much of what you shared. My sun is in cancer, but my moon, mars, and north node are all in Aquarius in the 11th house, and I have Chiron in the 12th. Pluto was working on me for the last 2 1/2 years and now Uranus is doing its thing. I guess you could say transformation is in the air (or the stars)!
Thank you so much 🤍 I am so glad it resonated. Those outer planet transits are so powerful aren't they! That Cancer Sun and 12H Chiron come through already from what I've read from you so far. Lots to do with caring and healing. 🤍
I was also obsessed with Egypt and wanted to be an archaeologist as a child. I took a few classes in college, but was ultimately an English major. So cool that you have that background and are marrying it here with all your other interests. Love it!
Thank you so much!! That's so cool - I think a lot of us have an Egypt or an archaeology phase at that age. When I finally studied it, almost 2 decades later, I was drawn to it for different reasons, at least consciously. It seemed a good subject for a jack of all trades because it intersects with so many other subjects. Ironically, if I could afford to study for more degrees now, after psychology I think the other subject I'd study is actually literature. And maybe history too.

Thanks for the feedback and thanks for sharing about the 4th house. I'm about to have quite a lot happening in mine, so I think about it a lot lately!

Must be! Maybe the default settings have changed, as it's my first post that could be it

Looking forward to reading more from you .

Yes, they are! My therapist likes to say that they are “doing surgery” on us. With Pluto and Uranus at least, it seems like an apt metaphor.
That's a good way to put it! It may be painful, and there is risk, but ultimately we get better

Thank for this meandering introduction, you demonstrate depth of learning and solar vitality. I wish you a fruitful journey here on Substack!
Thank you for reading, and the encouragement! 😊
